Marine Mechanic / General Maintenance Technician

Bermuda Divers Ltd. is looking to hire a Marine Mechanic / General Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will ensure continuous operation of all marine machinery and mechanical equipment.

Other Responsibilities will include:

· Troubleshooting and repair engine equipment and systems on assigned vessels;

· Determining specific parts, supplies, and material requirements for each task;

· Conducting on-the-job training of junior or shop personnel as required;

· Supporting on-land vessel dry dockings, as well as, supporting maintenance and repairs on other equipment, and systems assigned;

· Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with company procedures, standard operating procedures and applicable regulatory requirements;

· Conducting of general vessel inspections;

· Ensuring all tasks are preformed within the appropriate pollution control guidelines;

· Any other duties as assigned by management. time you write a post, you can add it up to 3 different categories.

Job Requirements:

· Minimum qualification of accredited marine technician certification or equivalent.

· Minimum 3 years of work experience in Marine engine maintenance.

· Able to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and engineering specifications, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

· Working knowledge on troubleshooting and overhauling Cummings diesel engines and Honda outboard engines;

· Ability to read and interpret manuals, exploded view diagrams, engineering sketches, charts, and work orders;

· Accurately maintaining all required records;

· High school diploma or equivalent;

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – Capable of maintaining effective working relationships with staff at all levels;

· A mature self-motivator who can work independently with minimum supervision;

· Ability to take on a variety of tasks and while working under pressure;

· Candidate must be able to meet the physical requirements of this position;

· Must be prepared to be called out at all hours;

Must have up to date certificates.

Clean criminal record.

The successful candidate must be willing to work shifts including evenings and holidays.
